Couple LoveFile Photo

There may come a point at which you develop an attraction for someone you’ve considered to be just a friend. This isn’t uncommon, and some of the longest-lasting and healthiest relationships start out with friendship.

However, if you are hoping to take things to the next level and begin a romantic relationship with your compadre, then you’ll need to take things slowly and think carefully before you make a move. Otherwise, you could end up losing the entire relationship.

Is the attraction mutual?

Before you declare your undying love for your friend, you should do some investigative work to see if the feeling is mutual. Some people may prefer the honest route – you can simply tell your friend that you’ve sensed things changing and ask if he or she agrees. If that method seems too risky, then you can do small things to see if your friend may have interest in you. For example, if the two of you have only ever hung out in groups, consider asking your buddy out for a one-on-one adventure. This doesn’t have to necessarily be a date, but it will give you a good idea of how your friend feels when no one is watching. You can also try some harmless flirting when you’re out together, as long as you know when to call it quits if he or she seems disinterested.

Where do you want to take it?

Once you’ve determined that your friend is indeed interested in you, you should think about where you’d like the relationship to go. Do you want to start dating this person, or are you hoping the relationship will turn into more of a “friends with benefits” scenario? Either way you’ll need to make sure that you practice safer sex by wearing a condom every time you have sex. Nothing will end a friendship faster than a sexually transmitted infection that could have been prevented!

Talking it through

The key to any successful relationship is strong communication, so you and your new partner should be sure to talk about your feelings and expectations before you make any changes in how you interact. It’s always best to set up a few ground rules, and be sure to keep your friendship at the heart of your relationship, no matter where it goes.

Counsellor LuterodtThe counsellor has become famous for his controversial comments on TV shows

The controversial counsellor who always opine that no woman is capable of loving a man has teared into this very subject again with a different twist.

Speaking on GHOne’s relationship live show dubbed Tales From The Powder Room, he said:

“Love is a man’s business not yours. Man was created to give love and the woman must position herself in readiness to receive his love.

Every time a woman feels she is more in love with a prospective husband, than he is in love with her, she should not marry him,” because a woman’s love can never overshadow a man’s love.”

Lawyer Wig1File Photo

When someone tells you dating a lawyer is just like dating anyone else, they are lying!

This might be too straightforward for you, but after dating a lawyer for a year and a half, I know that lies have no room between you and your legal expert.

This’ because they are so used to people who tell hundreds of lies, lawyers are able to sniff a lie from a mile, so there is no point in trying to hide something from them.

On the other hand, you will notice how objective and sincere a lawyer is in a relationship. Lawyers are stubborn and they are used to finding arguments in everything – and this is just the start of it all.

Here are the main things you need to know before diving into a relationship with a lawyer.

1. Lawyers think differently. This is the starting point: lawyers and law students think completely different from the rest of us. They are trained to think differently from the first day they decide to become a successful lawyer, so you will have to get used to this.

Lawyers can be highly objective in the most subjective situations, which is a double-edged sword. In critical situations, this is an advantage, which enables your date to act quickly and correctly.

But in love… it’s another thing. Because they are used to being objective, lawyers might be cold and lack affection sometimes, but this doesn’t mean your date doesn’t like you. It’s just he/she is very objective about it.

2. Legal field is filled with parties. Dating a lawyer? You must have a killer party wardrobe because lawyers attend a lot of events and most of these are high class. Prepare to meet people from Congress, politicians, celebrities, and many more public personalities at these parties.

Despite what most people think, lawyer gatherings are never boring, so you will have a lot of fun! Another thing you need to know about lawyers is they get over-excited over free-time plans, simply because they have so little free time.

3. You will be alone a lot.

Dating a lawyer sometimes feels like dating a ghost because they work a lot. A whole lot! You will often find yourself alone while your lawyer friend is at the office preparing a case.

If you are the kind of person who likes to go out at 6 PM in the evening, you will be disappointed, because lawyers often work late hours. You will probably find yourself first going out on the town around 9 or 10pm.

Another thing you have to get used to when dating a lawyer is cancellations: don’t be surprised if your date cancels all your plans because he or she needs to go through a massive pile of books and laws, in order to build the case they are working on. Of course, this is one of the main reasons law is among the most swiped professions on Tinder.

4. You will learn legalese. One of the perks of dating a lawyer is you will learn legalese. This is also valid if you are dating a law student, who is going to practice his/her speeches around the house, forcing you to hear those legal terms over and over again. The next time you are confronted with reading a contract, you will notice you understand it a lot better, which is a huge advantage.

5. You will never pay full price again.

Lawyers are great at negotiating, which means you will never have to pay full price again. For anything! Your date is always going to make use of the proverbial lawyer charm and get some freebies or discounts.

If you pay enough attention to them, you will also be able to negotiate next time you go shopping. But lawyers use their charm for a good reason…

6. Lawyers have a huge student debt. Lawyers not only practice their skills for work when they negotiate, but also to make their life easier because they can’t afford too many things in the first few years of practice.

This is due to the huge student loan debt a lawyer has, and he or she is forced to use all their skills to make a living so they can manage to repair their debt.

7. You will never win another argument again. Lawyers argue for a living, so there is no way they are going to lose back home, on their own “field”. Also, if you propose white, they will instinctively reject it and propose black instead. They can’t help it, so don’t be mad about it.

8. Lawyers love commitment. This one is big: lawyers love hard facts both in work and love, so they want to be in a solid relationship.

They love to be clear about their dating status and will want to have their significant other write on the calendar when their anniversary is. As a rule of thumb, keep things as clear and solid as possible in all areas of your relationship.

9. Your friends will look up to you for dating a lawyer. As strange as it sounds, no one will ever look at you the same again after hearing you are dating a lawyer.

I don’t know why this happens, but it does happen. My friends are now a lot more polite (not that they weren’t before) and their entire attitude towards me has changed.

They somehow make me feel like a celebrity since I started dating my lawyer. Bottom line, there are pros and cons to dating a lawyer, but it’s up to you to decide if it’s worth the trouble. Or you could leave it to the jury.

Diana Asamoah1play videoDiana Asamoah and Akufo-Addo

Gospel Musician, Diana Asamoah has revealed that she was nearly chased out of Ghana for composing a song for President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The songstress said she was questioned on why she composed a song for someone who is not destined to be President.

“They called me and questioned me on why I composed a song for someone who was not created to be President, but I stood my grounds and today I thank the Lord that he has made his prophecy come to pass…,” she said at the NPP’s thanksgiving service at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Diana Asamoah who is noted for composing worship songs came out with her song for the NPP flagbearer.

The song stated that the NPP flagbearer was the one appointed by God to lead Ghana for the next four years.

In the song she compared Ghana to Jerusalem and Nehemiah to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate for the NPP.

She goes on further state that just as Nehemiah would not sit idle and watch the destruction of the city, Nana would also not watch for Ghana to be ruined.

She therefore implores all and sundry, from students to workers to help propagate the gospel of change and work towards the rebuilding of Ghana by aligning with the NPP.

Diana Asamoah however failed to name the person who called to question her.

Mahama Bod Dplay videoPresident John Mahama was welcomed at the Murtala Muhammed Int’l Airport by Chief Dele Momodu

All eyes were glowing and movements remained at a standstill as the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama was welcomed to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Nigeria as he prepared to join other class of crème de la crème to grace The Ovation Carol 2016.

The Ovation Carol 2016, a brainchild of Chief Dele Momodu, Chief Executive Officer of Ovation Group of Companies was birthed in 2007 with the purpose of showing appreciation to God at the tail end of every year.

According to Dele Momodu, “Our intention was to give hope, help and voice to those who need just that little push. Ours was not to concentrate on those who have already given up on life and have decided to do nothing about it. We were interested in those pushing on against the vicissitudes of life and knowing there may be light at the end of the tunnel.

We are happy to note and report that we’ve been doing our bits and pieces adding salt and sugar in our own humble way to the lives of mostly our youths, especially in Nigeria and Ghana. We chose the platform of entertainment to reach out to those who may be easily disillusioned about endless struggles leading to nowhere.”

Talking of thanksgiving; one would be quick to come to a conclusion that this was a good coincidence as the day Ovation Carol 2016 was hosting the outgoing President of Ghana in Nigeria in a classy and worldwide telecast thanksgiving service, the President-elect, Nana Dankwa Akufo-Addo also held a thanksgiving service at Accra Sports Stadium to celebrate his victory at the just concluded elections.

President Mahama’s entry into Nigeria was first revealed on Dele Momodu’s Instagram page, announcing his presence in Nigeria for The Ovation Carol 2016.

In the second picture, President Mahama was spotted stepping out elegantly of Ovation branded Range Rover Sport.

The event was streamed live on different parts of Africa and Europe via satellite: HipTv, AIT, GHOne Tv, while the Europe audience was made provisions for on BEN Tv.

Among the World class stars that performed at the event were the King of African beats, King Sunny Ade, Flavour, Sonnie Badu.

Akwasi RexAkwasi Nsiah and Rex Omar

Broadcast Journalist with Kasapa FM, Akwasi Nsiah has jumped into the argument of whether the four years presidential term must be extended due to the numerous challenges facing the country.

Some are of the view that it will be better if governments are given five years so they will be able to complete most of their projects as the four years is not sufficient.

Speaking in an interview with Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa Entertainment when ace musician, Rex Omar also re-echoed the same point, Akwasi Nsiah indicated that incoming government’s should be made aware that governance is a continuous process thus it will be prudent for them to complete projects initiated by their predecessors instead of trying to build the same thing to gain glory.

According to him, American governments are able to use the same four years to do major developmental projects in their country without calling for extension thus it will be prudent for governments in Ghana to also adjust themselves well and make promises that they will be able to accomplish in the four year mandate.

However, the veteran musician said that the constitution may have overlooked the fact that a four year presidency is not enough for effective development.

According to him, Ghana can’t match up with US in terms of democracy so presidents of a developing nation like Ghana need more than four years to make any significant impact in terms of development.

Manifestiities8M.anifest at #Manifestivities

Rapper M.anifest disclosed in a press conference last Thursday that his highly successful #Manifestivities2016 concert was nearly put off for financial reasons, but for the overwhelming support shown to him this year.

He disclosed that this year, he discovered the existence of more M.anifest fans than ever: “people have been very vocal about their support for me”, he said, adding that the one true way of reciprocating affection from fans is so share their talents with them: “the only way in which as artists, we can reward the support we get is to give of the gifts we have’, hence, the decision to stage #Manifestivities2016.

M.anifest has had a remarkable 2016, with constance presence in the news for his “god MC” record, as his latest album Nowhere Cool.

“If I sit down and say we’ve done the numbers and it’s not looking great financially, then I’m not acknowledging the fact that people have supported so much and would want to see a concert at the end of the year…we put it off last year, and I think last two years, but this year, it would have been inexcusable for us to do that”, he further explained.

Despite the late start of the event due to significant technical hitches, the show kicked off with a set from singer Worlasi, which was followed by soulful Nigerian act Brymo (who was also special guest for the night), and then “god MC” M.anifest. Other supporting performances came from Cina Soul of Julor fame, and brilliant DJ Keyzus.

Ofori Amponsah HighlifeOfori Amponsah

Highlife musician, Ofori Amponsah has disclosed that the trauma he went through after his wife divorced him some five years ago was the reason he came out to say he was ‘dawging’ secular music for the altar.

But after living the life of a “Man of God’ for a while, Ofori Amponsah aka All4Real realised he was not cut for that and came back last year with Alewa featuring Sarkodie saying he was done with that life and has reconciled with secular music.

He is therefore pleading with Ghanaians to forgive him if he offended anyone with his intermittent switch from Highlife to gospel and back to Highlife because he was confused at that time.

In an interview with Showbiz last Friday, the Otoolege hitmaker said his wife leaving him rendered him so heartbroken that he became a recluse and didn’t want anything to do with anyone not even his first love- music.

“I just could not live with that. I was very confused. My marriage falling on rocks dealt me a big blow. I locked myself up. I didn’t want anything to do with anybody. I virtually went crazy and even considered committing suicide.

“I started smoking and drinking heavily and that got worse when I found out my friends who I trusted told lies about me to my wife which she believed. I could not believe they could cook up stories like that. That got to me badly.

“I gave out all the expensive equipment in my studio for my work and didn’t want to have anything to do with music. Infact I lost faith in God. I hit rock bottom”, Ofori Amponsah revealed to Showbiz.

Two years after recovering from the shock of his wife leaving him, the multiple award winning artiste said he somehow revived his faith in God as part of his healing process.

‘’I think God wanted me to draw closer to Him that is why He allowed what happened to happen to me. And it was around that time that I set up a church in my house.

“Now the real Ofori Amponsah is back like never before after clearing my head from all this trouble. Ghanaians are now going to enjoy the real Ofori Amponsah again but now a better and a more transformed Ofori Amponsah” he said.

His manager Ashes who was by him during the interview said Ghanaians should give Ofori Amponsah the benefit of the doubt and accept him for who he is because everyone goes through bad situations at a point in life.

Ashes added that, Ofori Amponsah has so far done collaborations with artistes such as Kwabena Kwabena, Akwaboah, Amakye Dede, Paa Kwesi and he looking forward to working with more artistes in the next couple of months.

“Ghanaians, your favourite highlife musician who gave you songs such as Odwo, Emmanuella, Sardine, Abelle, Puduo, Nothing But Love has come back to stay” he added.

Flo ObinimFlorence Obinim

Florence Obinim, wife of Bishop Daniel Obinim, has disclosed she and her husband kept seeing each other in their dreams prior to getting married.

Narrating how she met her husband on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5FM on Friday December 16, the gospel musician said she vowed never to marry a man of God when she was growing up, but at any church she went to sing, men of God prophesied to her she would marry a pastor.

According to her, after crossing paths with Mr Obinim on a park while praying, she kept seeing him in her dreams and vice versa until Obinim announced in church God had revealed she would be his wife.

The Osoro Ne Me Fie hit maker told show host Nana Romeo: “Growing up, I didn’t want to get married to a pastor but whatever you dislike and speak with your mouth is what you get. If you do not know God’s plans for your life, don’t say you don’t like something. I kept saying I will never marry a man of God.

“But when I began singing at my church and other churches, every prophet I encountered prophesied I was going to marry a man of God. I got angry with the first pastor who told me that and I walked out, only to fall on the street and break my leg…” she stated.

Mrs Obinim recounted: “After three months, I went to sing at another church at Atonsu where Prophet Oko Hackman was organising a programme. After ministering, Prophet Oko Hackman prophesied again that I would marry a man of God at all cost.

“One day, while praying at a park, Obinim, who was then not an angel and was also praying at the park, approached me and also prophesied to me I would marry a man of God. He prophesied that my husband will buy me an expensive car and recently when he got me a Range Rover, I remembered that prophecy.

“We kept seeing each other at the park anytime I went to pray. Later, I joined his church and followed him when he decided to go solo. We prayed together as friends. One day he said some women had expressed interest in him and so he wanted to travel to pray to God to reveal his wife. When he returned from praying on the mountains, he announced in church that God had revealed I was his wife. I wasn’t surprised because I was seeing him in my dreams and he told me he was also seeing me in his.”

Gospel musician Florence Obinim has disclosed she has her husband Bishop Daniel Obinim’s anointing but lacks the gift to perform the miracles he carries out during his church services.

The leader and founder of the International Godsway Church prides himself in all sorts of miracles, from healing the sick, enlarging penises, providing financial breakthrough to transforming into any animal he desires.

The bishop recently awed Ghanaians when he disclosed he had been transformed from a human being into an angel and has since his transformation been referred to by his congregation as Angel Obinim.

Speaking on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5FM on Friday December 16, Florence Obinim told show host Nana Romeo she has her husband’s anointing but cannot perform any of his miracles.

“I cannot perform my husband’s miracles because he is an angel. Jesus said: ‘I and the Father are one,’ and he also said: ‘He is in me and I am in Him,’ and the same applies in marriage. He said: ‘You and your husband are one.’ So I definitely have the anointing he has, but we all have our gifts. As for the miracles he does, I cannot do them. My gift is to teach and sing,” the Osoro Ne Me Fie singer said

Onga ObinimiKafui Dzivenu had the support of Promasidor until she showed affection for Obinim Ministry

Last week, Presspeep.com broke the story of how a manager at Promasidor Ghana Limited, manufacturers of ONGA – a quality seasoning stock, cancelled the company’s sponsorship deal with actress cum TV presenter (on Obinim’s OB TV), Kafui Dzivenu, because this manager is not a fan of Angel Bishop Obinim.

Read the story below:

Presspeep.com sent an official email to Promasidor Ghana Limited for the manager’s side of the story but received no reply as at the time of wrapping up on the story for publication. Later, the accused manager called Editor of Presspeep.com. He gave his name as Mr. Shine.

“Why should you publish the story without our side? You should have waited till we react to it before you publish?” he queried the site. When asked if they received our official email to them, he admitted they did but the notice was too short for them to react – meanwhile, we sent them email and waited for more than 24 hours for response before we published the story.

After ranting and accusing Presspeep.com for not doing the right thing, we directed him to stick to the issue by asking if he indeed cancelled a sponsorship deal Onga once had with Miss Kafui simply because he (Mr. Shine) is not a fan of Bishop Obinim. He stayed on the line for seconds without an answer.

Even though Presspeep.com prod him to clear the issue, he failed to acquit myself of the allegation to clear his name and that of the company he works for. Rather, he promised of getting back to us but never did.

We assured him that even his refusal to confirm or deny the allegation is still a response so as a neutral and independent media outfit, we shall publish it – here we have it for your update on our earliest publication.

Funny Face and his wife endured a very messy, public split a few months ago with accusations and counter accusations of cheating.

Speaking on Pluzz FM some weeks back, Funny Face revealed that he would marry his foreign based wife in “Dubai, London or somewhere in the US very soon,” but they would hold a traditional wedding in Ghana before that happens. As for the identity of the woman, that remains his secret for now.

Below is how Enewsgh.com reported Funny’s divorce story:

Funny Face has made startling revelations concerning his divorce to Elizabeth Nana Adjoa Ntim, which he claims took place seven months ago.

The popular actor and comedian gave the strongest hint yet at the reason for his leaving his now ex-wife Elizabeth Nana Adjoa Ntim.

When news broke of his failed marriage, it was widely speculated that the divorce was as a result of infidelity on Elizabeth’s part. In an emotive chat with Metro TV’s Gena West Wednesday, an obviously disappointed Funny Face remarked:

“When someone gives their love, trust, loyalty and you accept to be committed but later throw all their sacrifices to the dogs and cheat on them, you are no different from a witch or a wizard…

‘It takes a huge amount of sorcery and witchcraft to cheat, cheating on your partner is equal to murder.” News started making rounds concerning Funny Face filing for divorce.

He later took to Instagram to confirm the news, stating that “it just didn’t work”.

Born Benson Ohene Oduro Boateng, the Cow and Chicken star tied the knot with Elizabeth Nana Adjoa Ntim in a private event back in November 2014, and the union lasted for nearly two years.

A miner hit gold boom after he was directed to a land by Angel Obinim in a dream.

?Osei Asumanim from Manson Agrosum in the Ashanti Region of Ghana testifies that for the past three and half years as a miner, his life has seen no improvement. He could hardly afford three square meal a day

He said all meaningful attempts to change his financial status, proved futile. He narrates, he heard of the wonders God is performing through Bishop Dr Daniel Obinim of the International God’s way church and decided to seek Gods intervention

He said he was in church when during prophecy time, Bishop OBINIM called him and gave him a prophecy that his finances will improve soon together with a handkerchief.

Mr. Osei disclosed one day he Prayed to God to intervene in his predicament with the handkerchief the man of God gave him. He went further that he prayed asking Angel Obinim to perform a miracle in his life. He said that night whiles asleep, Bishop Obinim (Angel Obinim) appeared in his dream and told him there is gold in a certain land so he should try and acquire that land.

After the dream, Mr. Osei said he went to the land owner but was told the land had already been acquired by some Chinese miners. He told the land owner , “Angel Obinim appeared in my dream and told me to come for the land”. Immediately he mentioned Angel OBINIM, the land owner said he will repossess the land and give to him(Mr. Osei). He did and refunded the money back to the Chinese nationals.

After Mr. Osei acquired the land, he reveals he found the gold Angel Obinim told him about in his dream on a section of the land. As a result, his business started booming and he was able to purchase a car, land to put up a building, a tricycle and a motorbike. Aside these properties, he has 15,000 cedis in his bank account, just four months that he had an encounter with Angel Obinim.
