Passionate Choir has been adjudged the first choir in the Central Region out of the four choirs which participated in this year's 2 nd Central Regional Choral competition held in Cape Coast.The participants included Oguaa Youth Choir, Mass Demonstration Choir, African Youth Choir and Passionate Choir.The winners who took home GH¢1,000 would represent the Central Region in the National Choral Festival at Kumasi.The second choir, African youth choir had GH¢500 with the third choir Mass Demonstration taking home GH¢250 respectively.The choral competition is being organized by the Ghana Tourist Authority.Addressing the people, the Regional Manager of Ghana Tourism Authority, Alex Boakye stated that choral groups are picked from each region of the country to compete among themselves.Mr Boakye hinted that the best three of the groups that would participate at the national level would be sent to represent Ghana in the International African Choral Festival where choral groups from different countries would meet to compete among themselves.He disclosed that his outfit would want to give a specific platform for all choral groups in the world to form partnership and sing to improve choral music as well as sell African culture to the world to boost tourism.From Sarah Afful, Cape Coast Comments:Leave a comment. ...
