Africa Gospel Music Awards On July 6

Cwesi Oteng A number of celebrated gospel musicians in Ghana and some parts of Africa will on July 6, 2013, be honoured by the organisers of the Africa Gospel Music Awards (AGMA) for their contribution to the development of gospel music in Africa.The AGMA is one of the biggest events which is being organised to reward and celebrate hardworking gospel musicians on the African continent.The Africa Gospel Music Awards (AGMA), according to the organisers, will take place in London at the prestigious Great Hall of Queen Mary's University of London, Mile End Road, London.The organisers stressed that this year's event will undoubtedly be a night to remember and draw the huge crowds it is famed for on Saturday July 6.This year's ceremony promises to be bigger and better with a new venue and maintains its reputation as the only Gospel Music event that brings together all Africans and supporters of African music. It will be a night to remember.The AGMA is an event being organised to promote of African gospel music and also unite both current and legendary gospel artistes from around the globe.This year's event will witness historic performances from some selected gospel giants including Tehila Crew from Nigeria, Cwesi Oteng from Ghana, Dena Mwana from DR Congo, Charisma Hanekam from South Africa, Jackie Mugabo from Rwanda/UK and a host of others.Various awards will be presented to individuals and organisations voted for by the public and four AGMA special awards interspersed with vibrant, spirit lifting ministrations guaranteed to enthral and inspire.VIPs will also be treated to a pre-show lounge reception followed by an outstandingly exquisite celebration of African gospel music from all over the world to be experienced by all guests.By George Clifford Owusu
